Who Are We?
…a non profit child health agency that provides innovative, research based preventative treatment programs that strengthen the emotional health and safety of children, their homes, schools and community.
Who do We Serve?
We serve children from toddlers to teens, 3-18 years old at five convenient urban and suburban locations. We make it possible for children to recover, regain hope and become healthy, safe and thriving adults. For over 70 years, our programs and services have been providing research-proven treatment methods to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child we see; our programs are designed to:
- Promote emotional and behavioral health
- Teach children to manage their emotions
- Improve family communications
- Encourage healthy self esteem
- Teach life skills
- Educate and support healthy alternatives to violence
Child and Family Counseling…
The staff of CATS consists of experienced mental health professionals with expertise in providing specialized services to children and families including:
- Comprehensive assessment and individualized treatment planning
- Individual counseling
- Family counseling
- Specialized treatment for sexual abuse
- Teen suicide prevention
- Psychiatric consultation and medication management
- Psychological consultation
- Education presentations
How To contact us?
As a member of CAN, Child & Adolescent Treatment Services has a specialized contract for services through the Clarence School District and Clarence Youth Board. Our goal is to meet the needs of Clarence School District families through providing prompt and comprehensive access to services at our Lancaster Branch located at:

Clarence families may contact their guidance department to request a referral for “Family Support Services”. Your school counselors will then help direct you through the referral process.
For families who choose not to access services through the school, you may contact our centralized Intake Department at 835-7807. You may also want to check out the full range of services and locations on our web site at www.catswny.org.
Office Hours: Times vary at each branch and program location
Fee for service: We accept all major insurances including Medicaid and Child Health Plus. Co-Pay for service is comparable with doctors’ visits based on individual policies. Private pay fee for service is $123.00 per session. Hard ship applications are available. We also accept all major credit cards (except American Express).
Session length: Weekly or bi-weekly 1-hour appointments are available or as per prior arrangement with therapist in clinic programming. Specific program times and length of sessions will vary.

Do you provide specific programming for children with disabilities?
We welcome all children to our programs and will try to accommodate each child. After comprehensive assessment, we will refer to appropriate service providers if our agency cannot meet the specific needs of any child.
