Clarence CAN (Community Assets Network) is a community-based committee formed in September 2006 and is comprised of representatives of various stakeholder groups and community leaders who directly impact or wish to positively influence Clarence youth and families.

The Mission of Clarence CAN is to promote the value of youth through networking the resources of the Clarence community. Through this our youth will become caring, responsible individuals.

The goals of Clarence CAN are to:

  • Promote the 40 Developmental Assets identified by Search Institute                         
  • Promote shared decision making with our youth
  • Expand family, school and community communication
  • Coordinate youth, family and community resources and services
  • Foster youth volunteer support 
  • Support youth and community development                     
  • Support learning outside of school
